Very much enjoy your blog! I'm a French teacher and vintage dancer and also a big fan of Jane Avril. I've danced the role of Jane Avril (wearing the snake dress with the hat) in a performance that was an homage to the impressionist and post-impressionist painters. I just played her again last night at an anniversary celebration for one of the grand old hotels on Nob Hill in San Francisco. Thanks again for all the info on Jane Avril! (Angela)
